Episode 155

It’s been a while, but finally we were able to get off our dead asses to put up a show. This week Dangina and Peasha discuss recent happenings. Dangina was out of control at Fiesta in San Antonio, while Peasha wonders why all the gay people at the bar seem to be getting younger. Also, we discuss worst case scenarios, clogged toilets, lesbian weddings, swine flu, and Bea Arthur…we miss you Bea!

We’re back and exploring an interesting topic this week…FRIED CHICKEN! Okay…really we are talking about the politics, purpose and classifications of people in gay bars. But first, we had to get through a strange little collage of chicken related stories and thoughts. Be sure to let us know the best Popeye’s chicken coupon you can find within the comments area.
The role of the gay bar has evolved as gay people have found more acceptance in society. This begs the question…why do we still go there? We are also looking at identifying as many different sub groups within a gay bar’s social strata as we can. We came up with an alarming number of labels which Dangina is going to try and pound into a gay bar bingo game. Peasha tried to channel Andy Rooney this week with a list of behaviors that ruffle his feathers.

The Fast and the Bi Curious
Several years back I went through a Vin Diesel stage where I was completely enamored with everything about him…from his muscly arms to his unearthly deep voice. I think there was maybe even an incident where after a few drinks a pint size version of him (that my mind had convinced me was almost him!) and I may have shared a few sweaty dances at a club. I think his fast and furious movies cured me of him.
This past weekend on SNL, they played this fake trailer for The Fast and the Bi Curious. I think Andy Samberg and Seth Rogen make a great couple.
Spring Time in the South

I went out on a hike with a few friends on Saturday around San Antonio. The views were really amazing and it was much more of a workout than I had anticipated.
The area is really rocky but this time of year things are blooming all over the place. When we found a very special couple of blooms we decided to take a picture. I was a little nervous putting my junk that close to a cactus, but it turned out ok. All in the name of art.
Notice the very fashionable MoPod Show T-Shirt!

Of Snake Boy, Firemen and Candy
While out and about in Austin last night Yagermeister, his boyfriend (who strangely hasn’t acquired a nick name yet…) and I were in this great candy store on South Congress. After everyone had picked out some candy and we had finished looked at the eye candy (a group of three firemen to which Yagermeister whisper yelled “firemen firemen firemen!”) we noticed this wall hanging. Snake Boy is apparently cold hearted, a liar, and alive. I couldn’t place it, but snake boy reminds me of someone. I kind of hope I don’t remember who.

What’s hotter than a mostly naked muscle man? A mostly naked muscle man with an iPhone! That’s right, the hottest accessory for your online profile may be your cell phone. Last night Willow Cathiter and I were chatting and out of no where he threw me a URL that left me speechless.

I clicked the link…then sat back in awe of the page after page of hot (and just a little desperate) men appeared before me on the screen. Each of them showing off their best attributes and their best hardware. Enjoy.
