MoPod Show 2.1 - Gay Comedy Podcast

In case you haven’t stumbled on these before, you should check out the Second City videos “Sassy Gay Friend”.  The intersection of dramatic tragedy and gay sensibility.   I love it!

When Peasha and Mo Problems came to visit me in Texas we went out to the bar…okay more than once…and while there we saw the most amazing (and disturbing!) video ever.  The song is kind of strange in an of itself, but when you add the video, it just gets amplified to the most surreal crazy thing ever.  I present… Pon de Floor by Major Lazer.

Several years back I went through a Vin Diesel stage where I was completely enamored with everything about him…from his muscly arms to his unearthly deep voice.  I think there was maybe even an incident where after a few drinks a pint size version of him (that my mind had convinced me was almost him!) and I may have shared a few sweaty dances at a club.   I think his fast and furious movies cured me of him.

This past weekend on SNL, they played this fake trailer for The Fast and the Bi Curious.  I think Andy Samberg and Seth Rogen make a great couple.

Longtime listeners of the show know very well that we appreciate the talents of dolphins…well one dolphin in particular…and with that headline, I know you are going to think that Peasha went to Sea World and this is some kind of euphemism for a trist with Flap Jack from the Bottlenose boys.    However, its something much more amazing than even that!  I am absolutely blown away by what the dolphins at Sea World in Orlando are doing in the tank.  This is just flat out incredible!    I had two thoughts that kept creeping into my mind as I watched this…

1.  Is this real?!!

2.  If they had opposable thumbs, they would be our overlords.

This commercial has been giving Peasha recurring nightmares!

Last summer Commandrew turned me onto (among other things…) the Australian comedy series “Summer Heights High” with Chris Lilley.   The show is hilarious and a great showcase for Lilley’s acting and humor.  Our favorite character is this Aussie bitch named Ja’mie.  Check her out on youtube.

I had kind of wished we had an American counterpart to her and now, it seems, we do.  DEBRA!  I stumbled on her videos via Knuckle Crack and immediately wanted more.   She’s equal parts shallow, dumb and aggressively weak.  She also seems like an amalgamation of many of the girls I remember from high school.
